Name Robert Norval Packard Birth 20 Mar 1924 Ontario, Canada Gender Male Military 12 Nov 1942 Overseas Enlisted for service in the Canadian Army on 12 November 1942. Trooper Packard entered the Army at Kingston, Ont. and received his training at Brampton (Ont), and Camp Borden (Ont.). Trooper Packard was sent overseas on 15 July 1943 after approximately six months training. After further training in England, he was in action with the army against the enemy for one year. His service won for him the Volunteer Service Medal, the Italian Star, 1939-45 Star, the France and Germany Star. Trooper Packard arrived home on 4 January 1946. He received his discharge from the active service of the army on 9 February 1946.
