  Bray Barnes Bray Barnes, 72, a longtime resident of Palo Alto, died Feb. 10. He was born in Buffalo, N.Y. and grew up in Toronto, Canada. He entered the United States Marine Corps at 17 years old and served for four years. He married Gloria Roseland in 1963 and they moved from Fort Wayne, Ind. to Palo Alto to raise their family. His career had many occupations including: salesperson, entrepreneur and business owner, stockbroker and investment advisor. He was a member of 2nd Church Christ Scientist in Palo Alto and the Sierra Club. He enjoyed the outdoors, hiking, bicycling, racquetball and swimming. His primary passion was family and friendships. He was a dedicated and loving family man. He is survived by his wife, Gloria Barnes of Mountain View; sons, Gregg Barnes of San Diego and Grant Barnes of Highlands Ranch, Colo.; daughter, Elizabeth Crowley of Santa Cruz; and six grandchildren. Memorial services will be private. Donations in his memory can be made to Twelveacres, Inc. -- which provides care for developmentally disabled adults -- 595 Millich Drive, #104, Campbell, 95008.
